I have always loved Diane Von Furstenbergs dresses, and her  quote, "be the woman you want to be"... Hello I immediately feel empowered.  I think her past ad campaign is Beautiful, and I love that it is bold, and not afraid to be different, as I imagine Diane her self to be.

Marc Jacobs is a genius... Well he is a genius that knows how to take vintage pieces put a spin on  it mark the price up and make a lot of loot.  When I saw this hot little tote I thought instant cool factor, and guaranteed me to be a little more bad ass!   Check it out its at Saks.com  

The Cool Gauntlet has been thrown...

ADIDAS...  Stepped up to the plate and came out with this killer commercial.   Can I please be that dope, and through a house party like that just once in my life?  Is that asking to much?  Adidas is rad, they are super sport, but also mad hip hop... perfect balance.  Does it up my cool factor that I know where the wall they are spray painting is?  One can only hope!

Chanel = Perfection

Words Cannot describe my love for Chanel... My pocket book however can.  I am not at the spot (yet) where I can say "ohh this Chanel just picked it up."  However I don't let my fiscal state tamper my love, I have books and clippings and the fabulous iphone feature, thanks to my friend Ashley.   Chanel guru Karl Lagerfeild is debuting a 10 minute short silent film on her he directed... ohhhhh the suspense stay tuned for the film as soon as is debuts this week I will post it up!

Its a little late but I am Smitten... maybe Bitten...

So to fit in with all the girls at work I decided to read Twilight over the break. I needed a good read and I am a fast reader so I figured why not... won't take to long.  I am so into it,  moved onto the second book and making my hubby take me to see the movie.  Perfect read for the holidays, young love, characters you instantly are smitten with, good story,  and more than one book to keep you interested, and the movie is already out!  Ammaazzinnggg!  Highly recommended!

Fun For the Holidays...

There are certain things that you can only pull off during the Holidays.  In the Name of Cheer, because I was feeling festive, those are always my excuses for wearing things I normally would not wear on the Day to Day.  Here are three things I found that certainly fit into my  "because it the holidays,"  reasoning.   Cashmere Gloves from Net-a-porter, A fringe necklace from Forever 21 and a gaudy little Key chain from Juicy that if I got pulled over after a few holiday drinks would for sure not help!   Happy holidays and remember don't be afraid to wear it "because its festive."

Aloha Hello!

I love Hawaii, having had the privilege to once call it my home I have a love for this place that is undeniable.  Once I get off the plane and my feet hit the sand I instantly feel better.  Hawaii reminds me to slow down,  greet people openly and warmly with a kiss, watch the sunset, to get my feet wet, that sand in-between your toes is a good thing,  the sound of the ocean is the best music there is, and stop and take a moment to look around.

  I am a label wine buyer, if the label is cute I'll give it a go.  Hello, Little black dress "love it" ... Wine snobs say what you must... So how excited was I when I came  upon this book while picking up champagne at Bev Mo with a friend from work.  'Wine trials... Brown Bag Blind Tasting Reveal The Surprising Wine Values Under $15.00.  Umm... sign this girl up stat!  Yes it takes away the ohhh so beloved cute labels, but it introduced me to a whole new variety of wines... Cheap, Chic, and Fabulous.

So I guess the story behind this little Gem, is the queen of England created Posters similar to these during the war (Don't ask me what one).  Ha I love it, I imagine the cute little queen of England sitting daintily having tea and thinking "hmmm how to calm my people during such hard times (said with the properest of English accents)"  then she has her ah! moment and says to herself "I will simply tell them to Keep Calm and Carry On."  Short and to the point but and ohhh so true!

Life hand you Lemons, screw the Lemonade make mine a Lemon Drop!

Martinis are Ammaaazing.  Ever since Carrie and the girls of Sex and The City introduced me to the Cosmopolitan I have become a Martini connoisseur!  So in the spirit of when life hands you lemons here is my perfect lemon drop... Hope you enjoy (responsibly of course)

1 1/2 Grey Goose

1/2 oz triple sec

1 tbs superfine sugar

3/4 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice

Mix the Triple sec and the sugar well.  Then in a cocktail shaker mix the Vodka, triple sec, and fresh lemon juice with a few ice cubs.  Shake it like a Polaroid picture, pour into a sugar rimmed martini and if you want to make it look pretty garnish with a lemon twist.
